My first blog entry!

It is one week to go before i start on a journey that i have been planning for about eight months. You would think that by now i would be packed and ready to go, in fact i am still writing an essay which has to be submitted on the 4th January ( i will never change). Despite all the things i have to do over the next few days, i am actually quite chilled, although maybe a tiny bit apprehensive about actually getting to the right airport at the right time and the right plane etc, etc.

Eight months ago i decided that i wanted to do something different, i had been feeling unsettled for about five years and was starting to feel in a rut, so i sold my house and gave up my job! I never thought that i would be capable of making such a big decision but the more you think about it, the more possible it seems and you just do it. So far so good! However, deciding what to do is more difficult. Once you look into travelling you realise that you are spoilt for choice, the world really is your oyster and you feel like you want to see it all.

Over the next 9 months i will be visiting Zambia, Zimbabwee, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands and it will be in here that i will be keeping you all up to date on what i am up to! So keep in touch, email me and i will love to hear your comments.
